Animation Club
In Animation Club, we make stop motion animation films.
Stop motion is when you create a scene with characters and props, and then take a series of photos, moving the characters and props a little bit each time you take a photo.
When we have filmed a whole scene (which may require hundreds of photos!) we put the photos into movie maker software, and save the sequence as a movie.
Sometimes we use Lego characters and props; sometimes we make them from modelling dough.
The school has recently ordered some new animation software, so we are hoping that we will soon be making films where each picture appears on the computer screen as it is taken. We hope that this will make our films look a lot more professional!
