Art Club
Art Club meets on a Tuesday, after school until 4.30pm in Buzzards classroom. It is run by Mrs. Bunting, Mrs. Malcolm and Dr. Fancourt
We invited our Able and Talented artists from both KS1 and KS2, to provide them with additional opportunities to explore and develop their artistic skills.
Art Club has previously produced a variety of wonderful art work including mouse mats, clay tiles and large Paper Mache mythical creatures.
During the spring term the children have been mainly working on producing a mosaic of Noah’s Ark, which is almost complete. The children were very patient and worked tirelessly during the various stages of what has been quite a mammoth project for them! The finished piece will eventually be put up in the school hall for everyone to admire!
The children have also been using and developing techniques in still life drawing, self portraits and printing. The summer term will hopefully provide us with the weather to get out and about in the school grounds to be creative!
The Art club entered a competition this term organised by TorrAGE and the Senior Council for Devon. The children had to create a picture of any Granny or Grandpa. The children were very successful in both categories of the competition – Up to 7 years and 7-11 years.

Prizes included a £25 Argos voucher for 1st Place, £15 Argos voucher for 2nd Place, £10 Argos voucher for 3rd Place and a selection of prizes for Runners Up.
