Book Club
The Book Club is a Gifted and Talented club available to children in Key Stage 2. Attendance is by invitation only, upon recommendation by the class teacher. As a consequence we have twelve children and five staff who are members. The club meets between once a month and once a term, often dependent upon the length of the book that is being read. Meetings take place during lunch times and are either held in a classroom, or in the park, depending upon the weather. During these meetings we discuss and critically evaluate the book that we have read. We then decide which book to read next time.
We have been lucky enough to obtain a generous donation from the Lions Club of Bideford that has enabled us to buy multiple copies of the books for the club.
