KS2 Writing Club.
There are lots of exciting things going on in Writing Club this year. We will be working on a group novel, taking it in turns to write chapters etc.
In Writing Club we will be writing about what we are interested in. We have varied interests from manga comics to animal stories to vampire and horror books.
A story by India T-B, Year 4.
The panda that never worked!!!
There was once a panda that never worked and he smelled of mouldy bananas. He just lay around all day and all night. He absolutely paid no attention to the other animals around him. One day a lion came and said “come and run like the rest of us”. But the panda just walked rudely away and lay down carefully on the muddy floor. After he had done this the lion went off and told the man (his trainer) what the panda had done. The panda (feeling very tired and grumpy) was now lying on the floor trying to get to sleep.
One week later the lion (feeling very annoyed now) was determined to find some other animals to try and get them to make sure the panda actually did some proper work for them. As it happened the other animals were getting annoyed with the panda as well. The animals had tried many times to get the panda to do some work like them, but failed, so when the lion found the other animals they told him what they think they should do and the lion agreed.
They decided to go and tell the animal king (with special powers) what they think. After they told him the king decided to do what the animals had told him. So after about 2 weeks later (after the king himself had quite enough of the lazy panda) the king decided to make the panda do all of the work such as clean up the mess he had made, run a lap of the place where he lived, and tidy up the place where the lion lived. The elephant, the giraffe, the monkey and the lion couldn’t wait to watch the king do this to the panda but they were also frightened that the panda might get hurt.
On the day the animals hid in some leafy bushes near where the panda lived. When the animals were fully inside the bushes and no one could see them, they gave the king an unusual signal. Then the king woke the panda up and shouted in a deep voice IFYOU DON’T DO SOME WORK THEN I WILL CAST A SPELL ON YOU THAT WILL MAKE YOU DO ALL THE WORK IN THE ENTIRE JUNGLE!!! But the panda just walked silently away and went back to sleep. Then the king got really angry and cast the spell on the panda. SUDENLY the panda shot strait out of his sleeping position and started tiding his area. Then after he finished he started walking to the lions place, then he ran a whole lap of the jungle. And as for the animals they didn’t need to do any work but only when the king asked them to.

There’s a boy in the girls toilet!
“A boy, A boy” Came the cry,
The teacher shouted “My oh My!”,
“What an earth’s going on here?”,
All the girls sat stunned with fear,
The day they’d dreaded had come,
A boy with sticky chewing gum,
Had messed up the lovely clean loo,
Used up the best soap bars too,
He’d run round naked singing all star,
And on the walls there’d be a picture of a car,
“A boy is in our toilet! Oh no!”
“He’ll ruin it with graffiti! Woah!”
“Stop this now and explain!”,
The teacher began to complain,
“We’ve been dreading this day”,
Said little Lilly May,
THE MONA LISA MURDER
One spooky night Mona Lisa went on a mysterious wonder through the abandoned woods. Out of the glimpse of an eye she saw…
A DEAD BODY! So she ran as fast as she could but she tripped over and landed right next to a razor sharp knife. She knew what she had to do as a dead body approached her. She grabbed the knife and stabbed him right next to his heart.
That very week she had all ready killed 9 people and this was the 10th person. So she went to the doctor and he only wound her up more so she grabbed the thermometer and when he was not looking, she jammed it down his throat and as planned he suffocated and died!
By the end of the week she had enough of the murder week .So that very night she went back to the abandon woods and were she left it was the…
KNFE!
Then she thought to her self “ Do I really want to do this?” “ Yes I must end the murdery!”She was going to kill herself! But she dropped the knife and turned around and the headless ghost had a knife of his own! “Oh dear god!” “You are alive how did that happen!?!”
He screamed and stabbed Mona right next to the …Heart! So the next morning Mona was visited by her next-door neighbour. “0h my god she is dead!” After the astonishment he ran straight to the police and reported the death of the most famous person in the world!
That night the devil in disguise came and sucked the rest of the life out of Mona and Mona’s body suddenly went snow white and out of nowhere Mona lashes out at the devil and sucked everybody’s life out of the big trident and gave the life back to the people she had killed.

The world of ice

The first breath of Selena’s life was a cold one. She started crying straight away the sudden shock of the bitter cold was like a bitter hot poker the touching skin she was a seal cub her damp fur was a buttercup yellow and her eyes were a black hole. Selena’s mother began to curl her body round her new cub. Selena new straight away that this was a strange world and there was something she didn’t like about it but she Knew that she and her mum were going to tackle it together. Selena was sliding quickly along the slippery ice she let out small squeals of fear as she hit speeds of thirty miles per hour she it had started as a simple walk across the ice but had soon turned into a run after fish. She had almost fallen through the ice when suddenly her mother dived in front of her and pushed her to a large patch of ice and from that moment on she new that her mother loved her. But this was only a simple test of love the big one was still to come. Two months had passed since the ice incident and everything was calm but when you’re a small vulnerable seal cub nothing stays calm for long. Selena was in their ice hole with her mother fat asleep and her mother was watching for any signs of danger Selena had suddenly woken up pieces of ice were falling down from the top of the ceiling. Suddenly a long white snout with a black button nose had emerged from the hole it was a polar bear Selena’s mother leapt up attacking the nose it was the wrong move to make suddenly three or more bears had started digging at the hole Selena knew this was very bad suddenly Selena’s mother jumped through the hole and started attacking the polar bears for a few seconds there was growling and then finally the inevitable silence Selena looked up and saw the most horrible of all sights. Her mother was lying dead on the ice blood was pouring from her rotting carcass and the polar bears were knowing at the stringy flesh Selena dived down hoping they hadn’t seen her she soon started to silently whimper
The Adventures of Zooki and Meebo

Christmas with Zooki and Meebo
Zooki and Meebo were in the fun plane on their way to the toy store, Toys 4 U. “I can’t believe we left it until Christmas eve to buy our presents!” cried Meebo, The alien cat. “We always do.” Replied the alien dog, Zooki. Zooki and Meebo had been friends since birth, being abandoned together on a desolate island on a strange planet called earth. Every year Zooki and Meebo would buy each other a special gift. What they didn’t know, was that the toys they would buy, were magic…
Zooki was stopping the fun plane when Meebo cried, “ Oh my gosh! That dancing flower is so lovely. I wish I could get it!” In the toy shop window stood a furry flower pot with a robotic flower in fake fur attached. When you squeezed the flowers left leaf it danced and sung. Zooki knew that moment what he was going to buy. “Awwww!!!!” cried the alien dog. “A bone (drool) I wish I had one.” Now Meebo knew what to buy. Both friends ran into the shop, accidentally getting stuck and wedging themselves into the doorframe.
It was only on Christmas that Zooki awoke to see Meebo. Normally it was Meebo who was in bed till 8:00 in the morning.
The aliens rushed downstairs to find a present each with their name on it. Zooki was exited. “Please go first!” he asked. Meebo slashed the paper with her razor sharp claws. The dancing flower from the toy shop gazed lovingly up at her. She hugged Zooki really tight. “ You are the best brother ever!” she smiled. Now it was Zooki’s turn to rip the paper. When he opened it he saw the biggest chewiest bone ever!
“You are the best sister ever!” he gasped. Suddenly the flower and the bone began to grow until they were human size. They tied up their owners and Zooki and Meebo found themselves unconscious.
When Meebo awoke Zooki was awake too. Quickly thinking, “Ivy!” she said, She was invisible. Meebo quickly untied herself. Zooki was looking down at the water tank. “They are going to drown us!” he thought. Luckily he knew how to swim, even tied up. Then he remembered. “But Meebo can’t swim!, oh no.”Meebo suddenly was pushed unknowingly into the tank, landing headfirst and becoming unconscious, invisible. Zooki came after.
Zooki was underwater. He used some bubble gum on the side of the tank to stretch the rope until it snapped. Meebo was invisible. Probably unconscious too. His super senses told him Meebo had not yet said ibble. She was on her deathbed!
Zooki had to save her. She was his non-related sister and always had been. His super senses were weak underwater, but it picked up a life form on the bottom of the tank. “Oh no. I can’t swim that deep. I’m sorry Meebo. Goodbye.” Zooki began to cry. little did he know by crying he had saved Meebo’s life. She was still alive, just. Zooki was in fact a descendant of Zambalino. Zambalino was the greatest ever healer. A single tear from Zambalino was said to be able to heal the largest wound. “Zooki… Don’t leave me…” The call was only faint. “Don’t go..” There it was again. “I must be going mad.” Muttered Zooki. He kept on swimming. But he couldn’t, could he? “Meebo!” He cried “Say Ibble quick!” a mumble of letters greeted him and Meebo appeared lying on the floor. He grabbed Meebo and swam for all he was worth. When he reached the top of the tank he tied Meebo to a stick then hauled himself out. Then he pulled out Meebo. He raced home and gave a potion to Meebo which revived her.
