Netball Club
KS2 high Five netball club is run by parent volunteers who have attended a high Five coaching course.
High Five Netball gives children the opportunity to try out different positions in netball from defending to attacking and shooting.
On Monday 14th November St Mary's blue team competed in a tournament at Kingsley School in Bideford. They played a total of five matches winning 3, losing 1 and drawing 1. All of the girls played fantastically well and showed strong team spirit throughout. They represented both the team and school brilliantly.
On Sunday 27th November St Mary’s netballers were out in force again! Two teams represented the school at Park in Barnstaple. St Mary’s blues finished third overall demonstrating some brilliant passing and shooting. This team was made up of Year 5 children who were playing against Year 6 teams from other schools so a huge well done to them!
St Mary’s red team finished 7th coming up against some extremely strong teams. All of the children enjoyed the experience of playing in a tournament and are now back in training preparing for their next matches.

Key Stage Two netball is now up and running! This year we have children ranging from Year 3 to Year 6 all playing on a Thursday after school. It has been brilliant to see such a strong turn out which includes boys and girls as well as lots of new faces. The children will be learning the rules and skills needed to play High Five and will be given the opportunity to play matches against other schools throughout the year.
Here are some pictures of the children in their bibs!
