Surf Club
The St Mary’s Surf Club has been running since September 2008 and has been a popular after school club for KS2. The children are collected by the North Devon Surf School and taken down to Westward Ho! where they are initially taught the basics of catching waves, staying safe in the water and standing up on a surf board!
The instructors are always on hand to help individual children progress and they also have the opportunity to achieve their level 1 or level 2 surfing awards.
Currently the cost is £40 for 5 sessions and children taking part need to be able to swim a minimum of 50m. All equipment (wetsuit, surf board, gloves and boots) is included in the cost.
