Pupil Premium

At St Mary’s Church of England Primary, we want to make sure every family understands how Pupil Premium can support their child’s learning. Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government for pupils who meet certain eligibility criteria. It helps schools put targeted support in place, such as extra learning resources, intervention programmes, and wider opportunities that can make a real difference in everyday classroom life.

If you think your child may be eligible, it is important to check and apply for the relevant support. This includes applying for free school meals, even if you are not currently receiving them. Eligibility can also relate to other circumstances, and our school office team can guide you on what information you may need and how to complete the process. If you are unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to ask—our aim is to make sure families who are eligible are able to access the support they deserve.
