SEND
At St Mary’s Church of England Primary, we are committed to supporting every child to learn, grow and achieve their best. SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) provision is an important part of our inclusive approach. We work closely with families so that children’s needs are understood early and the right support is put in place.
We use a graduated approach to identify needs, plan support and review progress. This may include additional classroom strategies, targeted interventions, or specialist input where appropriate. Our staff work collaboratively to set clear targets, monitor outcomes and adjust support as your child develops. If you have any concerns about your child’s learning, communication or wellbeing, we encourage you to speak with us so we can help quickly and effectively.
We believe strong communication with parents is essential. We will share information about your child’s progress, support plans and next steps, and we will invite you to meetings where decisions are made. Our aim is to ensure that children with SEND feel safe, valued and included, and that they make meaningful progress in school and beyond.
