Forest School at St Mary's School is an experience that allows the children to explore unique learning opportunities, through practical activities in a woodland setting.  Here we are fortunate to have an onsite woodland area, home to numerous species of birds, squirrels and even foxes! 

The Forest School ethos is all about embracing an approach of nurturing, supporting and developing the self-esteem of the children.  This is done by allowing the children to enjoy the freedom to explore and experience their natural outdoor environment.

Forest School is the perfect setting to allow children to develop innovation, problem solving, risk taking, creativity and teamwork.  All learning is child led, with the teaching staff facilitating, as they embark on their educational journey in the great outdoors!"
