We also have access to some websites that wouldn’t normally be available from home thanks to the kind generosity of the companies that supply them to school.

Oxford Owl
Oxford Owl is a website that allows access to a range of eBooks through the following link: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/. These can be accessed on a tablet (through the internet browser rather than an app), mobile phone or on a computer. A log in to the website is required and will enable you to access a range of eBooks for different ages, including lots of familiar titles from Oxford Reading Tree. We have set up logins for our classes in Foundation Stage up to Year 4. If older children in the school would like to gain access, they can use one of the given logins below.
When following the link above, you need to click on the pink ‘My class login’ at the top of the page and type in one of the logins below:
Username Password
puffins-bramblings stmarys
starlingskingfishers stmarys
jays-bullfinches stmarys
dunlins-barnowls stmarys
nightingaleblackbird stmarys
Please look carefully at the username as they had to fit within a character limitation!
Children are then able to click on ‘My bookshelf’ and this will enable them to search by age, series or themes. When reading the book, there are also activities to support comprehension and understanding that can be accessed at the top of the page when the book is open.
We hope that access to this website will support children in being able to continue to read regularly at home.
