Significant people

We have identified a list of people who the children will learn about during their time at St Mary’s. You will see a balance of history, science, creative arts, popular culture, sports, influential people and courageous advocates as well as race and gender. Learning about the chosen significant people will develop the children’s cultural capital.
They link to our three drivers by inspiring curiosity and illustrating resilience. Finally, we are giving children examples of people they can aspire to.
